Parents Of Autistic Children's Mental Health Status And Influencing Factors Analysis

Objective To explore the mental health of the autisms children'sparents, and screened the major influential factors. Method 32 childrenwith autism(DSM-Ⅳcriteria) were tested with Gesell, ABC, CADWELL EASY 2. 64 parents of autism children were tested with thedomestic popular questionnaires, including Symptom Check-List 90, Eysenck Personality Questionaire, Coping Style Questionnaire, GenericQuality of Life Inventory-74. Data were analyzed by t-test and multipleregression analysis with SPSS. Results Compared the score of the lifequality with the parents of healthy children, the factor scores of bodyfunction and mental function were all higher in the parents of autismschildren. And the parents of autisms children had much higher SCL—90subscales on somatization, obsession, depression, anxiety, paranoid. Theautisms' parents had more adopted wincing and fancying manner than thenormal. The influence factors of the psychological health status includepersonality characters and the autisms children' stereotyped behaviors.Conclusion The parents of autisms children had more risk factors of themental problems in the hand of personality characteristic and life events.
