Financial Exploration Of Care Concept In Nursing Education

With the replacement of the traditional biomedical model by the modern biopsychosocial model, humanzination care and concern provided by nursing personnel as well as sophisticated equipment and techniques has become the most important factors to enhance nursing service quality. However, there is a severe lack of humanization care education in nursing schools of our country. To adapt to the new biopsychosocial model and to cultivate new-type nursing personnel with solicitude ability, we must change our nursing education Philosophy and guide nursing education with caring principle. This thesis features the analysis of the current lack of caring education in china's nursing schools and the discussion of the significance of caring to nursing education; It also explores what caring qualities nursing personnel should have and Countermeasures to implement caring education in nursing schools.There are six parts in this thesis.In part one, caring and nursing caring are defined in detail. The explanations of caring by German philosopher Martin Heidegger and American scholar Nel Noddings are separately introduced and the connection between caring and nursing is revealed.In part two the significance of caring is discussed. In terms of the development of the society , the growth of modern nursing and the need of modern nursing education, caring is critical to the survival of human beings, particularly to patients with physical and mental disorders. Therefore, it is very urgent to set up caring education system in nursing schools of our country and to cultivate nursing personnel with nursing quality.In part three, the general ideas of Noddings'caring education theory is introduced. We may organize nursing education, change traditional education mode and set up caring education system based on Noddings'thinking that caring is the common need of people.In part four, the current of lack of caring in nursing education in our country is analyzed. Problems in caring education are presented and their causes are given from the perpective of students, teachers, career moral education and practice teaching. These problems suggest that it is urgent to set up caring education system.The caring qualities that higher nursing presonnel should have are discussed in part five. What qualities a modern nurse should have are dwelled on in the ways of specialty manner, responding skills, how to give a proper self-introduction and what to call a patient, treating patients from patients'angle and positive attitudes towards patients'complaints.Countermeasures to implement caring education in nursing schools are explored in part six. Solutions can be found from such aspects as education theory, teaching environment, nursing teachers, course structure, teaching method, continuing education, profession moral education and so on. We expect to realize the goal of raising new nursing personnel with caring quality for 21 centuries.
