Capparis spinosa L. is a member of Capparis genus of Capparidaceae family, whosestem are usually used to treat the arthritis for its pain-kill, anti-phlogistic and co-agulen. Inorder to research its chemical constituents, especially to find the new agents with thebio-activities, the primary chemical study was carried out on its fruit of PE,Et0Ac,n-Bu0Hsoluble fraction of 30% EtOH extract. By means of the silica gel and Sephadex LH-20column chromatogry isolation methods, 16 compounds were obtained, and among them 14compounds structures were identified asĪ²-sitosterol(1), vanillic acid(2), p-hydroxybenzoicacid(3), protocatechuric acid(4), daucosterol(5), uracil(6), butanedioic acid(7), uridine(8),3-hydroxy-(1H)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-8-carboxylic acid(9),D-fructose(10),pyrrolidinium,3-(aeetyloxy)-1,1 -dimethyl-iodide (11), stachydrine(12), ferulic acid(13),saccharose(14) respectively by spectra data(1D-NMR, 2D-NMR) and their physico-chemicalproperties. Among these compounds, compound 9, 11 were two new natural products, andcompounds 2-8 were obtained from Capparis genus for the first time.
