| The idea of acupunctural prevention and health care has been through for quite a long history. Generations of Chinese medical schools accumulated abundant experience on recognition and cure of diseases, meanwhile created many efficient treatments which left us numerous valuable documents. Through reviewing classical medical works of Chinese medicine, such as The Medical Classic of the Yellow Emperor, Classic Medical Problems, Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Golden Chamber, A Handbook of Prescriptions for Emergencies, Treatise on the Etiology and Symptomology of Diseases, Precious Essential Formulary, Thousand Golden Prescription, Zhen Jiu Zi Sheng Jing, Bian Que Xin Shu, Hygienic Precious Minor, Introduction of Medicine and Compendium of Acupuncture, and by studying and concluding their theories concerning acupunctural prevention and health care, this study tried to illustrate the progress of acupunctural theories prevention and their influence on clinical acupuncture. Meanwhile, this study also summed up theories and study results concerning acupunctural prevention and health care based on modern acupunctural documents. The conclusion is: both following acupunctural catena and today's acupunctural accomplishments, though dwell on acupuncture, still originated their kernel from'Yellow Emperor'. The modern Chinese medical schools solely made further explanation and practice without any breakthrough. What is more pity is that the advantages of acupuncture, such as its easiness, convenience, effectiveness and inexpensiveness, are not fully aware of and are hampered from further development.Under nowadays advancement of technologies and improvement of people's material and spiritual lives, preventive medicine has already developed into a subject that prevents the occurrence of diseases, improve people's health condition, increase their ability to work and achieve longevity of human lives. The idea of traditional Chinese preventive medicine can be illustrated in three parts: to prevent occurrence before morbid, to prevent exasperation after ill, and to prevent relapse after convalescent. The first one means to preserve one's health before any signs of diseases appear. This is the primary task of a doctor, as well indicates the doctor's proficiency. The second one is to hold back the worsening of diseases by taking effective measures. The last one means to adopt certain measures after convalescence to prevent reoccurrence. The above analysis indicates that: when people's material lives improve in modern society, people gradually are urging for higher living quality. Health has become people's primary demand. When the expense on Western medicine increases, the toxicity of chemical drugs become more serious, and the medical service is lack of humanity, acupunctural prevention and health care, as a vital important part of Chinese preventive medicine, is better in light of its convenience, less side effects and humanity. Therefore, I chose this subject to be my research direction.. Starting from analyzing the ancient views of relationship between human and nature, the aim of the research is to conclude and analyze the dissertation of acupunctural prevention and health care presented in classical medical works such as'Yellow Emperor', to reveal the law of acupunctural prevention and health care, to promote the establishment of acupunctural preventive medicine, to enrich modern preventive medicine, to appeal to forming easily grasped and simply applied acupunctural prevention and health care system that allows more people to access this easy and effective acupunctural treatment, prevention and health care technology, to help people build healthy bodies, and to carry out prevention and health care through the idea of'preventive treatment of diseases'.Synopsis:1. Compared with modern medicine, the advantages of acupuncture rest on regimen, preventive function and mobilizing the whole body to fight against disease. These two medical systems, one owns high techniques, which can effectively cure serious diseases, while the other is simple but can prevent suffering from serious diseases.
