Context: More and more data suggested that the present situationof Lower limb ischemia diseases (that is TuoJu) becomes more dangerousand lethal to the human health, with the development of the society andthe people's living standard. Objective: To examine the present situation of lower limb ischemiadiseases'diagnose and treatment in order to do with it better and moreintensively.Setting and participants: A total of 284 cases conducted from Jan2004, to Nov 2006, from more than 300 cases in the Department of Casesin DongZhiMen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicineaccording to the standard of TuoJu, which were included the DiabeticPeripheral Vascular Disease (DPVD), the Arteriosclerosis ObliteransDisease (ASO) and the Thrombus Artery Obliterans Disease (TAO) in modernmedicine.Method: To investigate the data of the lower limb ischemia diseasesin detail, such as the ages, sexes, the dangerous sectors and thepreventability of these diseases, the partner diseases or the criticalor serious state of illnesses in hospital while suffering the lower limbischemia diseases, the symptoms and the medication of these diseases, the diagnosis and the diabetes foot, the kinds of the operation in thesediseases and the exercises of the amputated extremity patients, therates of these diseases'amputation and death, and so on. These datawas solved by the use of the sas9.0 software data statistics packageof t-examination, the X2 examination and so on. Some problems would bediscussed based on these data results and they would help solve theproblem of the lower limb ischemia diseases in the future. Results: The log of the sex level was significant among these cases. The rate of the number of the DPVD, ASO, TAO was 6∶3∶1. The log ofthe ages and the periods level were significant among the three diseases,.It was common cognition that the cigarette, the high-salt food, thehigh-fat food, the high-cholesterol food and so on, are all the dangerous factors of the lower limb ischemia diseases. And the log of the partnerdiseases level between DPVD and ASO was also significant. But the logof the symptoms and the different arteries level was not significantamong the three diseases. The sole and the mix of the artery diseaseswere significant between DPVD and ASO while TAO was not. The boil surfacewas mainly caused by the trauma, and the infection of it was mainly causedby the golden yellow staphylococcus and the other 7 bacterium. But thesole infection or the mix infection of each kind of disease was notsignificant. They were significant by the log of the level of theBianzheng Feixing and the clinical diagnosis grades by stages. Otherwise, the way of the different surgery treatments was not significant amongthe three diseases. The log of the critical or serious states levelbetween DPVD and ASO was significant, while they weren't significantafter the treatments of the three diseases. Conclusions: From the synthezational analyses of these problems, the obtained data suggest that Diabetic Peripheral Vascular Disease(DPVD) be the most important, critical and deserved disease among thethree lower limb ischemia diseases, and it should be studied furthercarefully, not only the serious variety of states of this disease, butalso the complexity of the treatment, the situation after treatment. So the Diabetic Peripheral Vascular Disease in the three diseases shouldbe further studied more carefully, because it mainly composed of thelower limb ischemia diseases, the Diabetic Foot of which composed mostlyof it.
