Database Program Processing The Image With The Acupuncture Points To Use

Study on the methods of computerizing the image and acupoint literature through the database program, namely, a designed software model database systematically collecting information about acupoint, are conducted here for reference of teaching and clinical application. The computer software, as differentiated from the traditional reading, is expected to be helpful to acupoint teaching, scientific research and clinical employment. This model demands for relevant personnel's dedication to the perfection of such a database, making it a public platform that standardizes study, examination and research.Collected information of the designed software model database includes survey on body surface acupoint image, image of general and local anatomization, static and dynamic circulation image of channels/collaterals and acupoint stimulation map. Involving more items of software multimedia than those in the past, it deserves the cutting-edge tool of image survey based on the database.This paper involves four parts.1. Literature Summary: CNKI Selection, Acupoint pictures since ancient, Published Multimedia and software and etc.2. Selection and Design of Database: Advantages of choosing Microsoft Access and the Design Concept.3. Building and Application of Acupoint Image Database: Application conditions for the established software model and its operation, together with a plan named "Software Feedback" used in teaching.4. Findings and Discussion: Survey on the "Software Feedback" and discussion on the advantages of the database model.This paper focuses on a acupoint database model by collecting literature, software and multimedia material involving acupuncture with a view to bring about a comprehensive software gathering literal and video information about acupuncture. The software is also functioned to acquire feedback during 9-month teaching course.The Microsoft Access is mainly used to program for the model software in this paper. Complemented by Windows Media Player and Flash animated software, an easy-to-use database program in query of literal information, images, videos and animation is thus established for teaching and research.This program includes 12 items, noticeably more than the record of gathering software (7 items). It is proved that Microsoft Access be the able tool in assisting the acupuncture application in many respects.The design model proposed by this database can be referred for programming and a platform be developed for the reference of medical personnel and programmers. Better database shall be developed to make computer the effective auxiliary tool of acupuncture, especially exemplified by its preference on study interplay over the traditional reading. This is as well the emphasis of this paper.
