Integrative Research Progress In The Treatment Of Chronic Congestive Heart Failure And Clinical Observation

Chronic congestive heart failure (CHF) is a kind of syndrome caused by various of heart diseases, which is a common and serious disease. It belongs to palpitation, dyspnea, edema, lung-distention et al in Ttraditional Chinese Medical science. In recent years, the morbidity of CHF increases continually year after year, though the technique of diagnoses and treatment had made a quite tremendous progress. CHF not only gravely influences patients' lives and living quality, but also brings the heavy burden of astonishing medical treatment expense to patients' families and the society.In recent years, with the development of medicine and the progress of understanding of CHF, numerous researches have been studied by both west medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and have achieved satisfactory effect and progress. This study consults many of the records about CHF, reviews the understanding of ancient documents and collectes the records of opinions of TCM in the etiology, pathogenesis differentiation, therapy, prescription and the development of new traditional Chinese medicament, as well as the records of west medicine in the epidemiology , diagnoses, treatment and its outlook. The experiential theory of tutor Zhang Xiaoyun about heart failure is summarized and the clinical study on treatment of CHF by DuShenTang combining west medicine is completed. The study has verified that the combination treatment project of traditional and west medicine has satisfactory effect on CHF, which is better than that of only using west medicine on slowing HR, builduping myocardial contractility and increasing cardiac output,and that it can improve clinic symptom in evidence.The results show the advantages of TCM.
