Modified Zhen Wu Tang Treatment Of Chronic Congestive Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Objective:Observing the curative effect of the traditional Chinese herb medicine Jiaweizhenwu Decoction on the disease of chronic congestive heart failure, and through clinical experiment ,probing the impact of Jiaweizhenwu Decoction on BNP, TNF-α AngⅡ and ALD of the CHF patients. Methods:1.60 patients of CHF coming from the ontpatient department and inpatient department were divided randomly into two groups: the control group (only treated with western medicine) and the treatment group (treated with Jiaweizhewu Decoction as well as western medicine), there were 30 patients in each group .The treatment time was composed of 15 days.2.The blood-routine, urine-routine, stool-routine, blood viscosity , lever function and kidney function were examined to judge if the Jiaweizhewu Decoction had any sid-effects or toxicity.3.Oberserving the symptoms ,signs and total effective ratios before and after the treatment ,making a statistical disposal and comparing the curatine effects.4.Making ultrasonic examination on the patients' heart and ECG before and after the treatment in order to compare the changes of EF, SV, CO, E, A and E/A.5.Making measurements of BNP, TNF-α, AngⅡ, ALD in the Blood before and after the treatment. Results:1.The symptoms and signs of the patients of the two groups after the treatment were before than those before treatments. Compared between the two groups, the significant control rate (60%) and the total effective rate (93.3%) of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (whose significant control rate was 70%, total effective rate was 46.7%) and there was significant difference between them.2.After treatment both the two groups had better results concerning the index with indicated the impoved of the systolic function of the left ventricular including EF, SV, Co and V1ptf, especially for the improvement of EF and SV in the treatment group ,when compared with that of the control group ,there was significant difference (p<0.05);compared with before treatment ,the two groups had better results corcerning the diastole function of the left ventricular after the treatment, which included such index as A, E and E/A. When compared with the control group, the treatment group had a significantly better result in improving the index A.3.Compared with before treatment ,both groups had significant differences (p<0.05 or p<0.01) in the content of BNP, TNF-α, AngⅡ and ALD in the plasmaafter the treatment. There was significant differences (p<0.05) in declining the contents of BNP, TNF-α, AngⅡ and ALD , when the treatment group was compared with the control group. Conclusion:1.Jiaweizhenwu Decoction has a constant effect on the CHF patients in the clinical practice :it could relieve the symptoms and signs of congestive heart failure caused by different kinds of basic diseases, without and side-effects and toxicity.2.Jiaweizhenwu Decoction can effectively improve the systolic function and diastolic function of the left ventricular and then improved the supply of blood of the organic body and relieve the symptoms caused by the lack of blood supply.3.The medicinism of Jiaweizhenwu Decoction could be that it put down the contents of BNP, TNF-α, AngⅡ and ALD in the blood plasma by regulating immune function and declining the secreting of cell factors and in this way it could protect the ventriculomegaly cells.
