And such damage is thought to be irreversible, accumulating with aging, and serving as a major contributing factor in the aging-related loss of functional capacity. The immunity theory points out that decline of human immune function with aging is a key factor in aging process. With age increasing, lymphoid organ get old, immune cells and cells factors get descending, human immune function declines, hence, the susceptibility to infection, neoplasia and autoimmune diseases, and the incidence of some senile diseases are high in aged population. Traditional Chinese medicine havs a long history, It has been put into clinic application for several thousand years, the history in order to keep health can be dated up to the War Period, side-effect of Traditional Chinese medicine is small, so it has great superiority in the course of deferring senescence. In this paper, the author investigates if traditional Chinese medicine can affect free-redical and immune function, so as to discuss mechanism that traditional Chinese medicine defers senescence.
