Flos chrysanthemum indicum is the capitulum of Chrysanthemum indicum L., which is widely used in clinic and also be recorded in ChP as one kind of common Chinese traditional herb. Yejuhua Injection is the preparation made from Flos chrysanthemum indicum and it consists of the two parts of solutions from steam distillation and water decocted and ethanol precipitated solution. Some pharmaceutical companies have been producing the preparation. The present study provides a method to determine the index components in Flos chrysanthemum indicum and Yejuhua Injection by high performance liquid chromatography. Besides, high performance liquid chromatographic fingerprint chromatogram was established for the herb and its injection. The integrated quality assessment of Flos chrysanthemum indicum and Yejuua Injection was developed.(1) Chlorogenic acid has been reporting as one of the effective components. We established a method for the determination of chlorogenic acid in Flos chrysanthemum indicum and Yejuhua Injection by RP-HPLC. The chlorogenic acid in the 10 batches of Flos chrysanthemum indicum was analyzed. The chromatographic condition included a DiamonsilTM C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm i.d, 5 μm) and the mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-water-phosphate acid (12 : 88 : 0.04) and the absorbance was monitored at 327 nm. The calibration curve was linear over the range of 0.95~9.5μg·mL-1 with the correlation coefficient 0.9998 (n = 6) .The mean recovery was 97.9%(RSD = 2.2%) . 18 batches of Yejuhua Injection were analyzed under the same chromatographic condition. The mean recovery was 98.5% (RSD = 2.6%) . The assay was found to be simple and accurate to measure the concentrations of chlorogenic acid in Flos chrysanthemum indicum and Yejuhua Injection.(2) To establish a method for the determination of Linarin in Flos chrysanthemum indicum and Yejuhua Injection by RP-HPLC .The Linarin in the 10 batches of Flos chrysanthemum indicum and 18 batches of Yejuhua Injection was analyzed. The chromatographic condition included a DiamonsilTM C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm i.d, 5μm) and the mobile phase consisting of methanol-water-phosphate acid (57:43:0.04) and the absorbance was monitored at 326 nm. The calibration curve was linear over the range of 0.48 ~ 9.70 mg·L-1 for linarin (r = 0.999 9, n = 6). The average recovery was 98.2% (RSD = 1.3%) . 18 batches of Yejuhua Injection were analyzed under...
