Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. is known as a traditional Chinese Medicine for treating stranguria and calculus. And its main locality is liaoning Province.In this experiment, we made chemical identifcation for Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. From the alcohol extract of Crataegus pinnatifida Bge.var.major N.E.Br. 5 constituents were isolated by various chromatographic and recrystalized methods. On the basis of analysis of UV, NMR, MS data and measuring of physico-chemical characters, the structures of 3 compounds were identified as vitexin ,vitexin glucoside, vitexin rhamnoside,. the others were first isolated from this genus.We had developed a dongganfenzhen in which Crataegus pinnatifida Bge. was regarded as the main drug. We investigated and optimized the technique process, made quality standard, Applying reverse phase high performace liquid chromatographic method, we determine the content of vitexin, and the recovery rate of assay met the demand. The method appeared to be simple, accurate and reliable, and can be used for the quality control of the preparation.. For controlling the quality of preparation better,we set up the fingerprinting of hawthorn leaf and dongganfenzhen by HPLC.
