| The thesis mainly involved to compare with the differences of the content of Ephedrine Hydrochloride , glycyrrhizic acid and Amygdaioside in SanAoTa ng by HPLC. (1) A HPLC method was established with a Agilent Zorbax SB-C18 column (5 μ m, 4.6 × 250 mm ), a mobile phase of methanol-0.1% phosph oric acid solution (8 : 92), a flow rate of 1 mL ? min-1 and a detection wavelen gth of 207 nm in order to determine the contents of Ephedrine Hydrochloride. (2) A HPLC method was established with a Agilent Zorbax SB-C18 column(5 μ m, 4.6 × 250 mm ),a mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.2% acetic acid solution (35: 65),a flow rate of 1mL ? min-1 and a detection wavelength of 254 nm in ord er to determine the contents of glycyrrhizic acid .(3) A HPLC method was established with a Hypersil-C8 column(5 μ m, 4.6 × 250 mm ). a mobile phase of methanol-acetonitrile-water(16:4:80), a flow rate of 0.6 mL ?min-1 and a detection wavelength of 208 nm in order to determine the contents of Amygdalin. From the analysis results, we can see that the average content of Ephedrine Hydrochloride of all hejian decoctions was higher than that of the fenjian decoctions, that the average content of glycyrrhizic acid of the hejian decoctions was higher than that of the fenjian decoction when the three materials was mixed for boiling, but the hejian decoctions was lower than that of the fenjian decoctions when any two materials was mixed for boiling., and that the average content of Amygdaioside of all hejian decoctions was lower than that of the fenjian decoctions.Minimal bacterial inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) antagonized the common bacteria in different decoctions were measured in vitro by employing dilution method. From the result of the assay, we can see that the hejian decoction could display the inhibitory bactericidal activity to Aeruginosus bacillus, but the fenjian decoction could not, and that to Staphylococcus aureus, the inhibitory bactericidal activity the hejian decoctions was slightly stronger than the fenjian decoction.The thesis also involved investigating on chemical constituents of E.. dewuense and comparing with three main contens of chemical constituents which SanAoTang (composed of Ephedra sinica, Prunus armeniaca and Glycyrrhiza uralensis) contains and their anti-bacterial activities in vitro.The extracts from the aboveground part of E.. dewuense were isolated through Silica gel and preparative TLC. The Compounds isolated from the extract were identified on the basis of their physiochemical and spectral data (NMR, IR, UV, and MS). Seven compoundswere isolated from chloroform-soluble and But-OH-soluble fractions of the ethanol extract and they wereidentified as eicosanol ( I ) , octadecylic acid (II) , β-sitosterol (III) , γ-sitosterol (IV) ,20-hydroxydammar-24-en-3-one ( V ) , artoninU (VI) and daucosterol (VII) .
