Qu Tong plaster which has good clinical effect is a folk traditional Chinese medicine. According to the pharmacology research, the plaster has good effect on rheumatoid arthritis,muscular pain and strain.In the folk,the drug is used to cure variety rheumatoid arthritis.Based on Ka Teshen plaster'pharmacology and clinical research,we have carried on relevant experiments on it.The plaster were extracted and isolated by using solvent and chromatography.Four constituents included capsaicin( I ) dihydrocapsaicin ( II ) tetrandrine ( III ) belladonnine (IV) were isolated. Capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin are hard to isolate by using normal chromatography.In this thesis, capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin were isolated by RP-HPLC,the result is they can reach HPLC isolation.The method has well repeated.Capsaicin is the main active ingredients of the Ka Teshen plaster.Capsaicin has many kinds of pharmacology effect such as indomethacin , catalyze the fat metabolism, protect the gastrointestinal functions and etc.Besides this,it also has remarkable effect for the sense nervous system, cardiovascular, thermoregulation and the gastrointestinal functions. The most important of all is the unique indomethacin. In clinical, it is always used to treat diversity pain and rheumatoid arthritis.The structure of Tetrandrine is belong to bisbenzyltetrahydroisoquinolines. Early research indicated that Tetrandrine can diminish inflammation, alleviate pain, drop high-blood pressure and high-blood sugar, resist carcinoma and silicosis, and prevent arrhythmia.Tetrandrine is also a natural calcium antagonists.It has good application future.Belladonnine can be used to sedate, anesthetize, alleviate pain, relieve spasm, reduce gland secretion and dilate the pupils of the eyes.In previous Belladonnine is used to cure biliary calaclus angina and intestinal colic, neurotic loose bowels and arrhythmia and its liniment can cure gout and rheumatism.In this essay ,the primary active ingredients of the plaster is made clear and we have carried on relevant pharmacology and clinical research on it. To creat conditions for making more new medicine is our aim.
