Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan originated from Qing Dynasty Wei Zhi Xiu xumingyileian. Reviewed articles included 2009 case studies of patients treated by Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan, among those, 1691 patients were from Internal Medicine, 185 patients from pediatric, 66 patients from Gynecology, 48 patients from Optic, Ears, Nose and Throat. After organization and classification, it can be seen that the pattern on clinical application of Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan (signs, symptoms, disease, diagnosis, dosage control, etc) is an excellent formula for damp heat sickness, despite of the difference in clinical symptoms, location, and the cause of the symptoms presentation of the disease. Dampness poison is the foundation of damp heat sickness. Damp heat poison evil is the cause of damp heat sickness.
