It formulated by 10 herbs : honeysuckble, forsythia suspensa Vahl, platycodi, peppermint, lophatheri, licorice root, spica schizonepetae, fermented soybean, arctii and phragmitis.The dosage can be changed according to the decoct method and regimen. The regimen was swallowing intact the powder accompanied with fresh Rhizoma Phragmitis Decoction in ancient days. Above herbs often be boiled into medicinal broth because of the less use of powder in clinic now. But the time of boiling must short in order to avoid missing the pharmacodynamic action.The second part is a study about the clinical application of Lonicerae and Forsythiae Powder. 106 pieces of reports were analyzed, put in order and summarized which regarding the treatment of Lonicerae and Forsythiae Powder having been added or deducted. These reports relate to over 60 diseases and 5000 cases.According to the analysis, it can be discovered that over 60 diseases have a common character even though they were being involved in plenty of systems and different departments. The differentiation of symptoms and signs all is wind-heat syndrome in clinic.By analyzing the frequency and times of using the composed herbs, it can be found in the regulation of regimen that the usage of forsythiae is 100%, it is the highest. Next is honeysuckble, it is 99.9%. Both of them are sine qua non of Lonicerae and Forsythiae Powder in clinic. By analyzing the dosage of applying, it can be found the usage of honeysuckble is the most, nearly 21.43g every dose. Then is forsythiae. From this, it can be seen that it should use honeysuckble and forsythiae more heaver when applying Lonicerae and Forsythiae Powder in clinic. At the same time, phragmitis also can't be ignored and the dosage of using should larger.It can be found that there are 118 species of herbs concerted application of Lonicerae and Forsythiae Powder in the part of analysis with adding herbs. The 10 in the front of using frequency and times are scutellaria, Periostracum Cicadae, folium isatidis, lalang grass rhizome, radix bupleuri, bombyx batryticatus, divaricate saposhnikovia root, figwort, bovista and heartleaf houttuynia herb. Most of them belong to the herbs of expelling pathogenic factors from upper jiao and dispelling wind and heat.
