Kwong Capsule Qi And Blood Of Hiv / Aids Patients In Clinical Studies

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctors commenced to research in treating AIDS with TCM from 1987.These experts observed the efficacy of various treating methods such as clearing Heat and removeing Toxin, tonifying Qi and Blood , invigorating Spleen and tonifying Kidney, activating Blood and circulation Stasis, invigorating Qi and nourishing Yin and more than ten TCM formula like Zhongyan â… ,â…¡ and â…¢.The cooperation of China and Tanzania is the steady base of research and treating AIDS with TCM. Ailing I granule, Zhongyan â…¡, New-century Kangbao and Jinlong capsule have been verified in Tanzania, after being validated in China then extended gradually. For our country, this project of Cooperation of China and Tanzania is still an available approach to research in AIDS treatment when increasingly HIV prevalence.This research is based on above project to carry out. Observing the clinical efficacy of HIV/AIDS patients of Qi dificiency and Blood stagnation treating with Guangan capsule and attaching the retrospective research of 399 adult HIV/AIDS patients with TCM treating.Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of HIV/AIDS patients of Qi dificiency and Blood stagnation treated with Guangan granule. Method: randomized paralleled study design. 60 diagnosed patients were randomized into two groups. Only observe group received Guangan capsule,but comparison group can get reiatived treatment according to the clinical requirement. Testing all the patients' immune function and wrote down their symptoms at baseline , third month and sixth month.Analyzed the integritied data of 57 cases by software SPSS 12.0 edition.Conclusion: after six monthes treatment, it shows that there are significant differences between two groups in syndroms counts and 6 aspects counts: fatigue, anorexia , abnomal sweat ,vertigo ,muscle pain and lymphadenectasis(in syndroms:p<0.05;in 6 aspects: p<0.01), observe group counts is lower.In CD4~+ T lymphocyte counts and the ratio of CD4~+/CD8~+, observe group is more than comparison group (p<0.05 ). As for the efficacy of two groups , observe groupis better than comparison group obviously (in symptom efficacy: pO.Ol in immune function efficacy: p<0.05) 0 Guangan granule can improve or maintain immune function of HIV/AIDS patients of Qi dificiency and Blood stagnation,so as to prolong the process of HIV infection. Furthermore, it can improve this phase patients' clinical symptoms . According to clinical observation and testing , There is not any adverse events through the research.Accessory: The retrospective research of 399 adult HIV/AIDS patients with TCM treating.Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of TCM according to different sex > age and state of HIV/AIDS patients.Method:399 adult HIV/AIDS patients were allocated different groups according to sexN age and immune function, the different groups were analysed . Conclusion: For those whose CD4+T lymphocyte counts are less than 100, the therapeutic effect is significant;for women whose CD4+T lymphocyte counts between 201 and 300,women is better , men more than 500;If CD4+T lymphocyte counts are less than 200 in, the count increased significantly after 10 months treatment for 274 more than one year treatment cases.
