Objective: To study the effect of electro-acupuncture in preventing and treating postop antephase adhesions.Method : 40 Rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control group, model group 1 and 2, antephase electro-acupuncture group, the anaphase electro-acupuncture group. Muscle adhesion was established by operation method. Antephase electro-acupuncture group was received the treatment from the 10th day to the 20th day after the operation, anaphase electro-acupuncture group began treating in from the 21stday after the operation, lasting ten days. We observe the effect on weight of the animal, Gait analysis, ROM and morphology change of adhesion tissue.Result: 1.Antephase electro-acupuncture treatment can improve the standingand walking of adhesion rabbits, while anaphase electro-acupuncture treatment can only affect step length. 2.ROM is clearly enhanced by electro-acupuncture in Antephase, but the effect of electro-acupuncture is not obvious in anaphase. 3.Antephase electro-acupuncture treatment can restrain the tendency of hyperplasia, Fibrotic of postop tissue. 4. Antephase electro-acupuncture treatment can improve the alinement of muscle fiber during postop tissue repair. Conclusion: Antephase electro-acupuncture treatment can prevent the postopadhesion of muscle, the effect of electro-acupuncture is not significant in anaphase. It is worthy of further study.
