"t'ientsung Green Tortoise Exploration Hole Needling" The Treatment Of Cervical Radicular Disease Clinical Research

Objective: In order to verify the efficacy of "tian zong xue cang gui tan xue fa zhen ci"for nerve root cervical spondylosis, a clinical trial was done. Methods: In order to study the effectiveness, we refered to the Evidence based medicine fundamental and the "Criteria of evaluation of the diagnosis and the therapeutic effect of the diseases and syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine" established by the state administration of TCM in China. There were 80 patients involved in this trial from acupuncture policlinic of Si Chuan province hospital of TCM. All patients were randomized into a control group or one treatment groups, Control group was treated with "jia ji and feng chi" and treatment groups with "tian zong xue cang gui tan xue fa zhen ci" .Huskisson (VAS)score, SF—MPQ score, Symptoms and signs were applied to evaluate the effectiveness in 3 period of treatment. Results: 80 patients involved in this trial, 73 completed and 7 missing or declining. the clinical effective propotion and general effective proportion of "tian zong xue cang gui tan xue fa zhen ci" group are 43.24% and 91.89% respectively, wheras those of "Jia Ji" points group (contrasting group) are 30.56% and 83.33% respectively, the curative effect of "tian zong xue cang gui tan xue fa zhen ci" is certain and obviously suoerior to the acupuncture method. Conclusion: Efficacy of tian zong xue cang gui tan xue fa zhen ci"for nerve root cervical spondylosis verified explicitly.
