Clinical Research From The Kidney By Zhengjia On The Treatment Of Chronic Renal Failure

Chronic renal failure (CRF) is a kind of common questioned disease as the end stage of many renal pathological changes. Under the guidance of Shenluozhengjia theory , this study of Chinese medical treatment to delay development of CRF and to increase the patient's QOL is of great importance. The thesis includes two parts, review and clinical research. The review part includes two papers. The first one was about the theory of Shenluozhengjia. It introduced the proposition , forms , historical evolution , modern pathology foundation and reorientation that combines and is studied in modern times and knowing of the theory. The second one reviewed the modern Chinese medicine study on CRF, including the knowledge of CRF in Chinese medince , the current awareness on treating CRF with Chinese medince and the mechanism of the action of Chinese herb. In clinical study part, we selected 64 patients who were all in the realy stages of CRF, and divided them into 2 groups randomly and comparably, 34 cases were in subject group, 30 in control group. The subject group patients were treated by basic treatment (including diet control and presCRFbing medicine according to the symptom) and Chinese materia medica . The control group patients were only treated by basic treatment. To observe the change of renal function, scores of Chinese midicine symptom and QOL evaluate the curative effect after 8 weeks. Results: in subject group, HGB, Ccr and QOL were raised while Scr and BUN were lowerd significantly, in control group, HGB were raised significantly while no remarkable in Ccr, Scr ,BUN and QOL. In both groups, there were significantly imporment in syptom scores, but the effect was better in subject group and there were statistical difference between the two groups. The result of clinical study shows that under the guidance of Shenluozhengjia theory,Chinese medical treatment to delay development of CRF and to improve the patient's QOL is remarkable, especially for the patients of the early stage of CRF. This Chinese medical treatment on CRF has very important meanings in delaying and improving the CRF to decline the progress of course of CRF.
