Objective:To investigate the effect of GeGenTang mixture on upper respiratory tract infection which belongs to chilly cold. Methods:Adhibited the clinic examination of Positive Drug to Parallel Antitheses, two-blind random allocation, and polycentric. The results showed using the therapeutic method of GeGenTang mixture to treat the upper respiratory tract infection (wind-cold exterior fever syndrome) is have clinical validity and security, and it provided the basis to carry on the next clinic study and application .1 He clinical data based on 120 cases, which were divided into examination group and antitheses group , and both of them included 60 cases. The Various index signs of two groups' cases were validated by statistic methods (p>0. 05), which have no distinct differences and were comparable2 Edicament usage: The patients in therapy group took GeGenTang mixture, dispenting three parts for drinks, 20ml each time, 3 days as a therapy course. In course of the experimentation couldn't take other Chinese herbal medicine, each kind of antibiotics, febrifuge or anodyne, and etc, which might be influence the curative effect evaluation of the drugs.3 The observation of the curative effect and the security included two groups sufferers' body temperature, the time when had effect, the symptom and signs, the point of the various clinical symptoms before and after the treatments. The blood, urine, the liver and kidney function (ALT, BUN, SCR) and the electrocardiogram examinations were all needed before and after the treatments.4 The statistical analysis based on the SPSS 11.Ostatistical analytical software.
