Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Tui Re He Ji on Upper Respiratory Tract Virosis Infection disease (commonly named "cold")and fever of Wind-Hot. Methods: 45 patients with cold and fever were divided into therapy group (30 cases, treated by Tui Re He Ji) and control group (15 cases, treated by Xiao Chai Hu Chong Ji),and were treated three days.We observed the changes of body temperature,clinical syndromes and peripheral blood routine. Results:The total effectiveness rate of therapy group is 96.67%, control group is 86.67%,had no difference in statistic (P>0. 05);but the healing rate of therapy group is 30%, control group is 6.67%, had significant difference in statistic (P<0. 01). Therapy group is significantly superior to control group in some aspects such as reduce body temperature of the fever patients,improve clinical syndromes, decrease the total integral The examination of the clinical and laboratory indexes of security had no abnormity Conclusions: Tui Re He Ji treating Upper Respiratory Tract Virosis Infection disease and fever of Wind-Hot has good clinical therapeutic effect and security, effectively reduce body temperature,improve clinical syndromes,helping to control the pathological changes as early as possible, and shorten the course of disease.A method on Upper Respiratory Tract Virosis Infection disease and fever of Wind-Hot is dispelling wind relieving the exterior and eliminating pathogens from exterior. Tui Re He Ji treating cold and fever may be relevant of antipyretic-analgesic,anti-viros and regulating-immunity which wait to further clinical and laboratory studies.
