Head Circumference For Hemiplegia Rehabilitation Effects Observed

Acupuncture has been used in the treatment of stroke patients in China for morethan 2000 years.It is reported to improve the motor function of stroke patients in China. Mostscientific studies are performed on patients in simple from increasing musclepower to improve the different disability.The treatment method are performedon patients from body and scalp acupuncture to different-stepsacupuncture , surrounding acupuncture. It has been made a great progress recently.Objective Aim of the study was to investigate whethersurrounding-puncture on scalp treatment given after stroke couldshow an additive effect on motor function ,ADL function in thesestroke patients.Method 90 patients were divided three groups. First group wastreated with surrounding -puncture on scalp, second group withtraditional scalp-puncture, the third group was control group. Thefirst and second groups were treated by the same body acupuncture.The three groups with the same rehabilitation therapy. Evaluationmethod with ADL and (SHANGTIANMIAN) MFT pre-post treatment.1:ADL Activities of daily living were evaluated using the CRRC indexof ADL. The index include daily life activities , including eating,continence, indoor mobility toilet-management,transfer,dressingand undressing outdoor mobility and communication.2:The motor function was evaluated with the Shangtianmin(based onBrunnstum)12 stages. The evaluated by the physiotherapist without connectionto the study.3:The first group was evaluated by Hamlton' s scale .All patients in the study underwent an individually designedrehabilitation program. The acupuncture for 30 minutes 5 times aweek .Result and conclusion1. Basic data: There was no significant difference about age .course of disease,etc in three groups. There were no significant differences among the groups on the first evaluationg on ADL and MFT.2. ADL: The three groups improved significantly pre-post treatment in ADL. The surrounding-puncture group improved more significantly difference than the other two groups in ADL after treatment result compared.3. Upper limb MFT: The surrounding-puncture there were no significant differences in upper limb MFT . That means the surrounding-puncture no additive effect for the upper limb' s function.4. The low limb' s MFT: There are signification difference pre-post treatment in the three groups. That means the three treatment method are effective. The surrounding-puncture there are more signification difference than other two groups in low limb' s MFT after treatment result compared. .5. Hamlton' s : The first group has signification difference for Hamlton' s scale pre-post treatment.The surrounding-puncture on scalp is effective method for stroke sequela.
