Observation Of The Clinical Efficacy Of Acupuncture Treatment Of Sudden Deafness

ObjectiveAccording to differentiation for syndrome classification, we have been studying sudden deafnessmechanism and therapeutical effect taking Baihui, Shenting, Tinggong, Yifeng as the mainlymethod.MethodPatients treated in Beijing Traditional Medicine Hospital are the objects of observation. Thecases were divided into two groups, That were acupuncturing observation group and thecontrol group. Mainly acupoints of observation group were Baihui, Shenting, Tinggong, Yifeng,the supplementary acupoints were Waiguan, Qiuxue, Zulingqi, Xingjian for the excess type,Neiguan, Zhubin, Taixi, Taichong for the deficiency. The control group were treated by givingdanshen, VitBland ect.Result and conclusion1 Result indicated that the observation group (30) cases were treated for three course with the curative effect reaching 86.67%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group with 70%(p<0.05).2 The symptoms of the excess type in the observation group had markedly improved after treaded in restless, insomnia, pain in the hypochondrium(p<0.05) and especially in tinnitus, headache(p<0.01). The symptoms of the excess type in the control group had improved after treated in tinnitus,(p<0.05) .The symptoms of the deficiency type in the observation group had markedly improved after treated in tinnitus, vertigo, insomnia(p<0.05). The symptoms of the deficiency type in the control group had improved after treated invertigo, dry in the mouth (p<0.05 )and ect..3 5 The acupuncture has more effective on the excess type than the deficiency.4 The level of the deafness is not related to the therapeutic effect.5 The courses of sudden deafness are two months. Statistics make known that curative effect of the courses less than two months are better than the courses more than two months. However we can not conclude that the shorter of the courses are, the better of the curative effect are, because of the limitation of the patients.6 The method may improve high blood coagulation through observing change with blood viscosity rate, whole plasma viscosity rate ect. after treatment, and may regulate cerebral blood circulation.7 After the first course, side effect has already reached the peak value which declined slowly in the second course. The symptoms of side effect are nausea, loss of appetite, red complexion, arrhythmia cordis and ect. The statistics state clearly that side effect of the observation group is lower than the control group(P<0.05).
