The Experimental Research of Transforming Growth Factor - pi Expression in the Implant - Bone Interface of Surface Oxidized Titanium Alloy ImplantsObjectiveTo detect the expression of transforming growth factor -1 ( TGF - 1) in the implant - bone interface, to observe the osseointegration of 316 Lalloy,Ti6Al4V and surface oxidized Ti6A14V,and to evaluate the biocompatibility of surface oxidized Ti6A14V.Method316 L alloy, Ti6A14V and surface oxidized Ti6A14V implant whose diameter is 3mm , thickness is 1mm . The surface oxidized membrane after being oxidized is 5m.90 rats were divided into 3 groups by random; the number of female and male was identical. A cavity with a 3mm's diameter and Imm's deepness was prepared on the mandibular, with physiological water to lower the temperature. The rats were killed in 1,2,3,4,6 week. The samples including implants were taken out.H. E staining technique was used to observe the implant - bone interface condition . Immunohistochemical staining technique ( SABC method ) was used to observe the change of TGF -1 in the implant-bone interface area .ResultsAs the time passed, the implants were gradually covered with bone - membrane like tissues and bones. The bones around surface oxidized Ti6A14V are better than the ones around Ti6A14V and 316 L alloy . The H. E staining results show that there are more bones in the implant - bone interface area of surface oxidized Ti6A14V.There is no difference between male and female rats. The staining intensity (average gray value) of these 3 alloys reached the acme on the second week. The surface oxidized Ti6A14V has remarkable difference with Ti6A14V on the 3,4 week.ConclusionThe biocompatibility of surface oxidized Ti6A14V is much better than that of Ti6A14V and 316 L alloy.
