E-cd And Igf-ir Expression And Its Significance In Xinjiang Kazakh And Han Ethnic Esophageal Abnormalities, | Posted on:2002-07-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:C Zhang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2204360032455783 | Subject:Chest | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective: To study the expression of E-CD and IGF-IR protein in esophageal carcinoma tissues of Kazak and Han patients in XinJiang, and to compare with clinical pathological data and to offer some useful information for clinical practice. Methods: The IGF-IR and E-CD protein in 68 cases of esophageal carcinoma tissues from Kazak and Han patients were examined by immunohistochemical LSAB technique with 20 non-carcinoma tissues as the control specimens. Results: The positive frequencies of IGF-IR and E-CD in esophageal carcinoma tissues were 80.88%(55/68) and 22.06%(15/68), those in non-carcinomas tissues were 35%(7/20) and 100%(20/20) respectively. There was statistic significance between carcinomas and non-carcinomas tissues (P<0.05).No statistic significance between Kazak and Han patients was found (P>0.05). With the progress of the tumor's malignancy, the positive frequency of IGF-IR increased (90.7%), while that of E-CD decreased (13.95%). Both of them were related with the histological grade of the tumor (P<0.05). They were also related with lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). As for the depth of tumor invasion, the expression of IGF-IR protein had close relation with it (P<0.05), While that of E-CD had no close relation with it (P>0.05). Conclusion: (1) E-CD and IGF-IR abnormal expression may involve human esophageal carcinogenesis and progression;(2) There was no statistic significance of IGF-IR and E-CD protein expression between Kazak and Han patients. (3) Detection of E-CD and IGF-IR protein abnormal expression may be an useful biomarkers for tumor grading and staging in clinical practice. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Esophageal Carcinoma, E-CD, IGF-IR, Ethnic Groups, Immunohistochemistry | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
