| Objective :To investigate the pharmacological functions and mechanisms of seaweed YuHu soup on rat experimental thyroid enlargment,with experimental thyroid enlargment of rats as the model,basing on the change of serum TSH and T3, thyroid pathology organization structure.Materials and methods:60 rats had been raised for 10 days at the same condition.One-third of the total is used as blank group, only served distilled water, once daily;the rest were irrigated consecutively stomach propylthiouracil 1.5 mg/kg, once per day, building into rat experimental thyroid enlargment animal models. At the end of the first 10 days ,the rats were divided randomly into the blank control group, the model control group , the seaweed YuHu soup group and the Youjiale group, each group of 10 only. The blank group and the model group were only served distilled water, once daily.The treatment group have been served seaweed YuHu soup every 0.025 ml/g, daily 1 times for 11 days consecutively. The control treatment group have been irrigated Youjiale liquid suspension each 0.07 mg/kg, once per day, for 11 consecutive days.Giving medicine ended, took blood of rats and determinated index of FT3, TSH of serum ;after taking blood ,used 4% polyphosphate formaldehyde fixing thyroid organization of rat for 24h and then conducted the pathological examination on thyroid organization of rat .Results:1. Serologic tests results show: the seaweed YuHu soup treatment group and the Youjiale control group can reduce the levels of thyroid TSH of serum and increase the level of T3.The result of the Seaweed YuHu soup treatment group comparing with model control group is P < o. 05, the Youjiale group comparing with model control group is P > 0.05, no statistical significance. 2. Pathologic examination results show:both of the seaweed YuHu soup treatment group and the Youjiale control group can protect the structure of thyroid cell organization, promoting the restore of thyroid cells .Conclusions:1,The seaweed YuHu soup has the functions of increasing the level of T3 and reducing the levels of thyroid TSH of serum .2,The seaweed YuHu soup has the effects on promoting the restore of thyroid cells of experimental thyroid enlargment of rats. |
