The Use Of The Modified Delphi Method Tcm Specification Of Advanced Breast Cancer

PurposeWe use the Delphi method to establish the standards of Chinese medical syndrome differentiation of the advanced breast cancer. Furthermore, to form a valid, reasonable, universal standardization of TCM syndromes of the advanced breast cancer. Finally, to provide an active guidance and reference in Chinese medicine and scientific research about breast cancer.MethodBased on consulting the prophase medical literature and national eleventh five-year plan topic-based group's diagnostic criteria, the research members debated collectively and formed the first cycle of the experts'questionnaire. After analyzing the experts'questionnaire of the first cycle, we manufactured the questionnaire or the second cycle. Then we established the database by EXCEL, and observed these data's the centralized degree and the coordinated degree by using SPSS 18.0 statistics software package. On this basis we establish the TCM dialectical criteria of the advanced breast cancer preliminarily.ResultsIt was showed that expert positive coefficients respectively was 85.71%,100% from the recycling experts' questionnaire of the two cycles. These data manifested that experts actively participated in this research. According to specialty distribution and professional title, the total experts were from the TCM specialty and occupied the high-ranking title. It showed that the research had rather good discipline representativeness and academic authority. We deleted the items of which the unimportance mark ratio are over 50% in the two cycles of questionnaire and individual items of which the variation coefficient are over 0.6 in the second cycle of questionnaire. Coordination degree of the undeleted items in the second cycle of the questionnaire is less than 0.556. We finished the expert survey and formed the Chinese medical syndrome differentiation of the advanced breast cancer basis for the importance of the undeleted items.ConclusionsIt is proved that Delphi method is an important method which has rather good objectivity, practicability and maneuverability in the standardization of TCM syndromes. We establish preliminarily the TCM dialectical criteria of the advanced breast cancer and lay the solid foundation for the profession standard's revision.
