Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture Points Of Moxibustion Treatment Of Chemotherapy-induced Leukopenia

This dissertation is composed of two parts:a review article and a clinical research.The review article is about the research progress in the mechanism and treatment of post-chemotherapeutic leukopenia in recent years. It includes the mechanism of post-chemotherapeutic leukopenia in pathophysiology and drug action, and also includes the management in Western Medicine and TCM. Aggregate analysis, chemotherapy generally causes arrest of normal bone marrow leukopenia is a critical factor which precludes the further chemotherapy well proceeded and continued, and influences the clinical efficacy even survival.Western Medicine mainly bases on the stimulus for proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell, and release of maturity leucocyte. rhG-CSF is a representative of leucocyte stimulating agent, which has been maturely applied to clinic, and has systematic standard and complication solution.TCM has the advantage of the concept of organic wholeness, the treatment based on syndrome differentiation, flexible and diverse therapy measures, so it can fill up the deficiency of Western Medicine, and achieve more diverse treatment purpose.The second part is a clinical research. Through the analyzation on leukopenia, we consider that in Chinese Medicine it has a cor re la t ion of Wei Yang theory. With the moxibustion, we invigorating WeiYang to musculature against external pathogen, to stimulate WBC count. Objective:To observe the effect of moxibustion on Qihai-point, Guanyuan-point, Zusanli-point in post-chemotherapeutic leukopenia patients. Methods:Post-chemotherapeutic leukopenia patients by gradeâ… orâ…¡were randomly divided into two groups,20 cases of the therapeutic group were treated with the moxibustion on Qihai-point, Guanyuan-point, Zusanli-point, every point 30 minutes, once a day for 7 days. While 20 cases of the control group were treated with ShengXueWan,5g twice a day for 7 days. To inspect WBC count on 3,7,10,14days when the treatment began, and symptoms, KPS grades, the probability of infect ion. Results:Therapeutic group showsed very good response, the general effctive rate was 100%, the infection rate was 0%, the general effctive rate of control group was 90%, its infection rate was 2%. Conclusion:The method of moxibustion on Qihai-point, Guanyuan-point Zusanl i-point can make patient's WBC count of post-chemotherapeutic leukopenia by gradeâ… orâ…¡improve greatly, it works promptly, shows relatively stable clinical efficacy, is worthy of further research and extension.
