The Canton Jingtongxiao Foam Aerosol To Promote Mixed Hemorrhoids And Wound Healing Clinical Studies

Objective:This study was to observe the effects of Guangtongxiao foam aerosol on promoting wound healing after operations of mixed- hemorrhoids.Methods:Ninety patients who had operations of mixed- hemorrhoids participated in this study. They were in Dongzhimen hospital affiliated to Beijing University of Chinese medicine from February 2010 to February 2011.We chose forty-two men patients and forty-eight women patients aged eighteen to sixty who were divided into two groups in ways of random digits table, according to their admission time. The experimental group and the control group each has forty-five cases.There are no significant differences in sex, age and initial healing area between two groups. They are comparable. All patients had Milligan-Morgan surgery in the ways of lumbar anesthesia. Dressing changes were done on the first day after operation. Experimental group were treated with Guangtongxiao foam aerosol, using gauzes for external application, and control group with mayinglong shexiang zhichuang ointments, once a day. The wound surface color, growth condition of granulation and condition of wound healing on the seventh, fourteenth, twenty-first day after operation were recorded.Results:84.4 percent of cases in experimental group have fresh wound surface, and 66.7 percent in control group. The experimental group is better than the control group. Ten granulation tissues developed edema in experimental group, and eighteen in control group. There is significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).The comparison of cure rate of the two groups had significant difference (P<0.05) both on the seventh day and the fourteenth day. The experimental group was superior to the control group.66.7 percent of cases were well-healed in experimental group on the twenty-first day after operation, while 46.7 percent in control group. Compared with the control group, the experimental group has better curative effects. Guangtongxiao foam aerosol can effectively promote wound healing. Adverse reactions did not happen during treatment time.Conclusion:Guangtongxiao foam aerosol can cut down incidence rate of edema. It has remarkable curative effect, and is safe and valuable.
