Object:Based on the clinical data of patients with depression and the cross section of four diagnostic information collection and data statistics, this study observes the distribution of elements in patients with depression symptoms. To statistic the relationship between group on depression-related insomnia and group on depression wi thout insomnia in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) factors, if there were differences between the two groups. To analyze if there were relationship between depression-related insomnia patients and the types of insomnia. Further more make the polysomnography on group of depression-related insomnia patients.Patients with different syndromes Polysomnography preliminary discussion on whether the presence of specific.Methods:This experiment included 100 depression-related insomnia patients'and 50 depression with non-insomnia patients. To test the all patients with the Hamilton Anxiety Scale 14 Table (HAMA-14), Hamilton Depression Scale 17 Table (HAMD-17), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSOI) and self-observation to be elements of TCM syndrome observed information table. And then determine the elements syndrome. In 100 patients with depression-related insomnia, select 30 cases,16 cases were divided into deficiency syndrome at the same time 14 cases were divided into excess syndrome.Have observation of the polysomnography The information collected on the use of frequency analysis,variance analysis, chi-square test and Spearman test for statistical and other methodsResults:The results show that the 100 depression-related insomnia symptoms in patients with major elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine in order to "Qi deficiency","Qi stagnation","Fire syndrome" "Yin deficiency","Xue deficiency","Phlegm syndrome" (Probability >50%). Among the total the phenomenon of 4 to 6 cards in both co-exist is more common. The exclusion of age, gender and educational level on cognitive function, between depression-related insomnia group and depression with non-insomnia group, the elements syndrome of TCM—"Yin deficiency"shows significantly different when comparing (P<0.01). The Spearman correlation test shows that, elements of TCM——"Qi deficiency" and the insomnia in the end of sleep (early waking) are significantly positively correlated (P<0.01).Of 30 patients with depression-related insomnia PSG analysis shows that the total timea of Slow Wave Sleep in patients of deficiency syndrome than patients of excess syndrome with significantly reduced (P<0.05)Draw the following conclusions:1.Insomnia associated with depression in patients with depression, anxiety levels were significantly higher, Between depression and insomnia they influence each other, Depression may be secondary to insomnia. Insomnia can also be increased to promote the development of mental disorders.2.Depression-re la ted insomnia patients main include "Qi deficiency","Qi stagnation","Fire syndrome" elements syndrome. Than the other depression patients, depression-related insomnia patients have obvious "Yin deficiency" elements syndrome.3.The "Qi deficiency" syndrome factors of depression-related insomnia patients maybe have important links with insomnia symptoms in the early awakening.4.In the PSG analysis of depression-related insomnia patients, the patients of deficiency syndrome than the patients of excess syndrome have less slow wave sleep.
