Social Capital And College Students Employment Relations Empirical Research

At present, all walks of life pay widespread attention to university graduate employment problem. Since 1999, the four consecutive years of college expansion plan, which makes our common colleges in 2009. Therefore, college graduates employment problem is very serious, became the focus of the whole society. China is a standard of social relationship. the application and effect of relationship permeate every aspect of everyday life. The aspects of college students employment, which is a relatively micro field, is no exception. Previous research have admitted that social capital is the important influence on college students' employment, but the lack of empirical research, which made it lack of general study conclusion. Moreover a lot of research about the social capital and the university students' employment just from the surface reveals some of the imagination, not further discusses the influencing factors of social capital and the college students social capital's effect to employment. Although many scholars are studied about these questions, but no further down, especially lack empirical research. This study explores that the students' human capital condition, WaiQing character, family economic level, social stratum and some demography variables, which effect university students' social capital. Then from employment psychology, employment process, employment results and students entrepreneurship the four aspects to discusses the college social capital's effect to students' employment.Based on 10 Hunan university and colleges graduates 209 effective questionnaires, Use of SPSS 17.0, through the reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis, etc., this paper discusses the influencing factors of social capital and social capital's mechanism of action to university students'employment. Then we concluded:On one hand, about the factors affecting college social capital. (1)Human capital of college students has significant role to social capital of college students. Human capital and social capital has negative correlation, which get confirmed. (2)Family economy level of college students is significantly prediction of social capital. Family economic level of college students is negatively related to their social capital, which not get confirmed. (3)Social stratum of university students is significantly prediction of their social capital. Social stratum of university students is positively related to their social capital, which get confirmed. (4)WaiQing character of college students has significant role to social capital of college student. WaiQing character of university students is positively related to their social capital, which get confirmed. (5)Significant differences inspection of social capital of college students in the aspect of demography variable. First, about the region aspect. Students in rural and urban students exists significant difference in social capital aspect. Second, about gender aspect. Male college students and female college students exists significant differences in social capital aspect. Third, about education aspect. High degree of postgraduate students has more social capital than low degree of graduate. Fourth, about professional aspect. The college of liberal arts and science and engineering college in social capital has significant differences. Fifth, about politics aspect. Members of communist party has more social capital than the non-party people.On the other hand, about social capital's mechanism of action to university students' employment. First, about social capital and employment psychology of college students. (1)Social capital and social capital consciousness has positive correlation. The richer of social capital, the higher degree of social capital consciousness. Social capital can significantly predict consciousness lever of college social capital, which get confirmed. (2)Social capital and job self-confidence has positive correlation. The richer of social capital, the higher lever of job self-confidence. Social capital can significantly predict consciousness lever of college social capital, which get confirmed. (3)Social capital and employment expectation has positive correlation. The richer of social capital, the higher lever of employment expectation. Social capital can significantly predict consciousness lever of employment expectation, which get confirmed. Secondly, about social capital and employment process of college students. (1)Social capital and employment channels has significant positive correlation. The richer of social capital, the more of employment channels. Social capital can significantly predict employment channels, which get confirmed. (2)Social capital and abundance extent of jop information has significant positive correlation. Social capital can significantly predict abundance extent of jop information, which get confirmed. (3)Social capital and degree of employment efforts has significant negative correlation. Social capital can significantly predict degree of employment efforts, which not get confirmed. Thirdly, about social capital and employment results of college students. (1)Social capital and possibility of employment has significant positive correlation. Social capital can significantly predict the possibility of employment, which get confirmed. (2)Social capital and the level of employment salaries has significant positive correlation. Social capital can significantly predict the level of employment salaries, which not get confirmed. (3)Social capital and job satisfaction has significant positive correlation. Social capital can significantly predict the level of job satisfaction, which get confirmed. Finally, about social capital and college students entrepreneurship. (1)Social capital and entrepreneurship endogenous attitude has significant positive correlation. Social capital can significantly predict entrepreneurship endogenous attitude, which get confirmed. (2)Social capital and entrepreneurship exogenous attitude has significant negative correlation. Social capital can significantly predict entrepreneurship exogenous attitude, which not get confirmed. (3)Social capital and the tendency of entrepreneurship has significant positive correlation. The richer of social capital, the more tendency of entrepreneurship. Social capital can significantly predict the tendency of entrepreneurship, which get confirmed.
