Hunan Nonferrous Metals Industrial Organization, Optimization And Development Of Countermeasures Research

As an important fundamental industry in china, nonferrous metal industry plays a significant part in the development of national economy, for it guarantees the industrialization and social development by providing essential raw material. As nonferrous metal industry, which is one of the pillar industries in Hunan province, has been growing dramatically and has formed relatively integrated system since liberation, its competitiveness has been heightened greatly and has gained remarkable advantage in domestic nonferrous metal industry. At present, however, there are still several problems in it, which are low level of market concentration ratio and scale structure, inefficiency in resource allocation and misdeed of the enterprises. Thou previous studies indicated that the improper organization structure is one of the main reasons of these problems, most only analyze industry organization and the developing countermeasures qualitatively. Thus, In this paper, from the perspective of industrial organizational structure, the optimization of nonferrous metal industry organization in Hunan province is studied comprehensively and systematically. The main researches include following aspects:(1) The current situation of Hunan nonferrous metal industry has been analyzed on the application of SWOT analysis method. The analysis shows that Hunan nonferrous metal industry is large but not strong, especially, the market conduct adjustment is very difficult, and facing good policy environment opportunity and challenge coexist situation. Finally we find that how to develop Hunan nonferrous metal industry becomes an urgent issue.(2) Follow the SCP theory analysis pattern, the market conduct of Hunan nonferrous metal industry is analyzed in the case of tungsten, which consist of the price conduct, the recombination and merger and acquisition conduct. The price conduct is discussed from the market change of tungsten price, the export price of tungsten, market price conduct of tungsten industry and the effect that price affect tungsten industry aspects. The recombination and merger and acquisition conduct is analyzed from the tungsten market industrial distribution and the tungsten market recombination and merger and acquisition aspects.(3) The empirical study of the market performance of Hunan nonferrous metal industry is studied using the data from 1999 to 2006 in the case of tungsten. The integrated performance is selected as the appraisal index, then the principle component analysis method is used to evaluate the market performance, and the evaluation result is calculated by using SPSS 11.5 software. The appraisal results show that under the government "industrial adjustment" implemention and industrial integration acceleration of large enterprise groups and other promoting power, Hunan nonferrous metal industry market perfomance presents an uptruning trends year by year.(4) On the basis of above study, according to the current situation of Hunan nonferrous metal industry, the industry organization theory, and the results of the empirical study, the countermeasures and suggestions to the development of Hunan nonferrous metal industry are proposed, including making hunan nonferrous metal holding group co.,LTD. larger and stronger, developing finishing and deep processing industry and building enterpriser team.
