Human resource management has become the important part of modern enterprise management. Recruitment management is a subsystem of human resource management. Through recruiting, selection and a series of activities to acquire the suitable employees. After an investigation about the recruitment of the enterprise, it was found that most enterprise have no standardized processes and scientific method to selection. Under this background , this article carries on the research on how to apply the competency model to the recruitment to improve its scientificity and effectiveness.In this paper, competency model and its application in the selection of human resource are introduced more comprehensively. Firstly, it introduces the basic theoretical concepts of competence, competency model characteristics, methods steps of it building on. Secondly, it discusses on the competency-based human resource recruitment. It elaborates the characteristics, significance and the application steps of the competency-based recruitment. It compares the traditional recruitment with the competency-based recruitment and emphasizes to analyze their difference. Then it makes the Z company as an object of this research. As an example to study how to use the competency model in the recruitment in the Z company. It introduces the actual situation of Z company and builds a competence model of the job of software engineer. Lastly, it carries on a description of the application process of the competency-based recruitment in Z company.This article is the research on the application of competency-based recruitment in the enterprise. This recruitment methods that refer to this paper have been successfully applied in the Z company. So the competency-based method of recruitment that researched of this paper has the reference value for the similar enterprise.
