Along with global economy integration, one company has to focus on its key competency to win the business in stead of competing with all business sectors throughout the whole industry. Cooperation is required for all companies from front-end to back-end business partners in the whole supply chain. Supply chain management helps companies to initiate cost savings and drive operational excellence to meet customers' demand. The development of supply chain management theory is still going on with the market competition.Personal computer is a typical industry with heat supply chain competition. Acquisition and merge keeps happening in PC industry in recent decades. The sales model and distribution channel shows more complex in PC market. Lenovo, a Chinese brand PC giant, announced acquisition of IBM PCD in Y2005, and shows its ambition to compete in global market.By analyzing Lenovo's strength and weakness, this paper is to give Lenovo proper strategies for its global supply management. And related solutions are provided when problems occurred during the implementation of Lenovo's supply chain.The structure of this paper begins from the introduction of supply chain management, and PC market development history. Then it shows how Lenovo set up its new strategies of supply chain management together with some problem and findings. The ultimate direction of Lenovo supply chain operations to achieve the strategic match of the whole operating system to gain the optimization of all efforts.
