At present, China's retail industry is experiencing a rapid change and a good period of rapid growth, but also are in the need to support and promote the critical period. This article examined the development of China's retail industry: review of three decades of reform and opening up of China's retail development of the main indicators of market structure (market concentration, differences in format and market barriers) were analyzed. Put forward in the development of China's retail industry is facing the impact of the main issues of sustainable development and the Chinese retail industry the feasibility of sustainable development is proposed to promote the sustainable development of China's retail policy suggestions: enterprises should establish a "people-oriented" the concept of good faith Hing level, the implementation of the right business strategy and the rational and effective marketing strategy. Government should be issued in favor of the industry through the development of policies to promote sustainable development in the retail industry; through the development of administrative rules and regulations to regulate the flow of behavior, the formation of healthy and orderly competition; through break local protectionism and create a fair and level playing field.
