Since private economy had been identified as "an important component of the national economy" from the last century 90's, the private enterprises obtained unprecedented opportunities for development. From the family workshops mode to high-speed growth in the scale industry, from a single industry operation to a diversified investment and operation, from the family enterprises to the emergence of professional managers and senior managers holding stocks, from the simple introduction of technology and equipment to merger and restructuring of enterprises, private enterprises have gone through tortuous and a high-speed developing road. Developing a number of large-scale private enterprise groups, is the important goals to construct a harmonious society in China and to implement the scientific concept of development.GH Group is the first private enterprise group in Suzhou which started in 1999. After decade of rapid growth, GH Group has developed into a comprehensive investment group which makes venture capital industry as main industry, real estate and education industry as other important industries. However, the internal structure and the external environment have changed when the enterprise developed to a certain scale, a lot of structural and management issues have been exposed. For example, the investment in random directions, lacking of strategic development goals, medium and long-term development goals and corporate culture are not clear, the overall lower level of human resources, core competence is fuzzy; overlapping management functions and levels exiting in the group management organization; In addition, the unhealthy operation and supervision mechanism, the lack of process awareness, also make the development and innovation of enterprise are not properly stimulated. It's difficult to form an unified rules of action, not only impacting the inter-departmental communication, but also leading to conflict in the working cooperation.Specific analysis of treatment for the status of GH Group is done in this article. I did a comprehensive analysis with the modern enterprise management theory, the modern companies theory, the management economics, the modern organizational behavior theories on the existing problems of GH Group; and then, for the five key industries in the future developing direction of development, I made concrete analysis from the business environment, customer demand, the status quo and development opportunities; on this basis, setting the business development goals, making gap analysis between objectives and status, combined with the reconstruction of corporate governance structure and operating mechanism, to build the group's overall development strategy and modern enterprise management system; in the end, I made some suggestions about the implementation of enterprise development strategies and feasible supporting measures in detail.I hope this article will be helpful to the remodeling the core competence of GH Group, building a modern enterprise system and the organizational structure, focused on reaching the goal of sustainable development. Meanwhile, I also hope to it will be helpful to the sound development of the similar enterprise groups.
