Because of the international financial crisis, the rate of unemployment of the world reaches new level, employment has become the greatest challenge of China in the new century. The flourishing tourism industry in solving employment problem has been the concern of the whole society. This thesis is divided into four parts: the first chapter, on the basis of the detailed review of employment and tourism employment, the paper identifies gaps in the research. Chapter two, the article firstly analyses the tourism employment status after reform and opening up of China in the volume and structure, and then re-estimates non-regular tourism employment, so obtains the real draw of total tourism employment. The paper finally analyses the various impact factors of tourism employment. Then, using the panel data of 1992-2005 years in 30 provinces of China, Chapter three analyses regional gathering, convergence and divergence of the tourism industry (mainly hotels and travel agencies). Using sub-provincial and sub-region (east, northeast, central and western) data, the paper analyses a significant impact for the distribution of the tourism industry on employment. Chapter four, based on the Cobb-Douglas production function using the panel data of 1992-2006 from 30 provinces and cities, the paper does empirical research on the growth relationship of tourism human capital and the number of tourism employees, and analyses the regional disparity disparities of tourism employment. Finally, the thesis submits reasonable policy suggestion based on the conclusions. The innovation of the thesis is mainly re-estimating the non-regular tourism employment population, analyzing the regional gathering of tourism industry, and studying the influence of the tourism industry distribution and the tourism education on the tourism employment regional disparity phenomenon using the simplified neoclassic model. The tourism employment estimating work has a certain value to the tourism macroscopic statistical work. Simultaneously, it has certain utility and practicality to the tourism employment influence factor and the regional disparity research.
