Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a new management thinking which rose in 20th century. It is an integrated management and overall control through planning, organizing and coordinating business process within a company and among business partners. The purpose of supply chain management is to strengthen the efficiency of inventory control, shorten production cycle, and increase production flexibility by coordinating management activities, such as logistics, capital flow, and information flow. As a result, the companies can provide customers with quality services and products promptly, achieve best business performance and enhance their competitiveness in fierce market.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is a short review of the development of supply chain management and brief introduce to basic theory; the second part is a analysis based on the actual operation of E Company, mainly focus on purchasing and inventory; the third part describes the re-engineering of procurement and stock management by applying the thinking of supply chain management, and introduces the use of information technology by means of implementation; the fourth is a experience summarize of the transformation of E company's supply chain management.The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the necessity of evaluation of supply chain management especially under the new market environment. Enterprises can learn useful experience from E's actual ideas and practices.
