Cement is one of the most important raw materials with massive consumption to industrialize countries. After China's reform and opening up, the whole economy is rapidly developing. China's cement consumption growth rate is far higher than other regions' and countries'. JF Cement Group lies in south of Jiangsu Province, one of the most developed regions in China, located in the core of Yangtze River Delta region. Since 2004, through continuous technological transformation and expansion of capacity, JF Cement Group's production capacity reaches to 10 million tons per year, with 4 dry-process burning rotary kilns (a 2500 t/ d and 3 5000 t / d), comparing to a small factory with an annual output of less than 100,000 tons. Now, JF cement Group has become the biggest cement production enterprise in Jiangsu Province. In "11th Five-Year Plan" period, the economy of the Yangtze River Delta region will maintain high-speed growth. The demand of cement will increase year after year. However, the large-scale construction of new dry-process burning rotary kilns in southern Jiangsu can dramatically increase the output of cement in the next few years, increasing pressure on the market, causing vicious competition among cement enterprises and revenue decline. At the same time, JF Cement Group faces great pressure of entrance of outside cement companies. Under the new circumstances of both opportunities and threats, how does JF Cement Group seek sustainable development and make business strategies to adapt to the new situation? It is the major research topic of this thesis. In this thesis, I use three analysis methods, the external environment analysis, five-force model and SWOT analysis, to conduct a comprehensive systematic internal and external analysis, planning the next few years' group development strategies. It is a very important guiding to JF Cement Group's development of the next few years. The thesis not only defines the Group's development path, but also puts forward specific implementing measures. It also provides to the other cement enterprises in the near region a reference about how to conduct strategic management. |
