WLAN is the extension of fixation broad band. It would be the developing direction of broad band communication, and it has been brought to market in so many countries, and China will follow them to develop the WLAN in many big cities. Before getting 3G license for shanghai telecom ,WLAN is the function to go out of passive complextion and full-fill the integration of business operation, and a new improvement point of new operations. And in this paper, under the environment of the situation of China communication, how Shanghai Telecom realize the WLAN business from effective marketing stratey.Under the guidance of modern marketing concept, this paper starts with emphatically from Segmentation,Targeting and Positioning, the three basic aspects to discuss the marketing strategy of telecommunications operators.To make use of the advantage of shanghai telecom efficiently in the realistic round of market competition,I suggest Shanghai Telecom adopts different demand in consumers as its market entering strategy. Shanghai Telecom can pack the advantageous regular business and new wlan business, and offer the different teleconnunications products.At the end of this article , combining market surroundings with the advantages of Shanghai Telecom in some analyze matter, I get a conclusion from the four aspects of the whole strategy , production strategy, price strategy,place strategy, promotion strategy, put up with my own suggestions.
