Along with the growth of China's market economy and openness, the key for domestic enterprises to succeed in marketing competition has been to select and train managerial talents who have high potential and excellent performance of running business and management, and more important to select and arrange managerial teams. As a result, to develop scientific methods of identifying criteria of selecting, training and evaluating managerial talents has become more and more crucial. At home, more and more enterprises have thought much of talent assessment and began to use talent assessment to help make decisions in the development and management of human resources. The author is working in an enterprise that engages in providing services of talent assessment. This paper chooses one of the most successful assessments and selection of project manager teams which the author has participated in, focusing on using correlative theories to analyze the whole process of the assessment project's design, with the hope of summarizing experience and educing revelation to use for references.This paper talks about how to build up an assessment and selection system for project manager teams. It covers how to set managerial competence model, how to identify criteria for selecting out of competence model, how to choose assessment tools to evaluate candidates' competencies, and how to arrange project manager teams according to the assessment results. Besides, the paper also summarizes some basic topics about talent assessment, such as what is talent assessment, what is competence, what is competence model and how to build up one, how to choose assessment methods, and how to give evaluations, etc.It takes many pains to obtain a project in today's furious market competition. A good project manager team who can lead members to accomplish jobs with high quality in time, will not only bring project benefits, but also bring long-term benefits and save project development cost for their enterprise. Through analyzing a case of some construction enterprise A, this paper is try to explore the assessment and selection system of project manager teams, to identify the criteria, methods, and procedures of assessing and selecting project manager teams, and to figure out how to make up test questions and how to do evaluations, etc.
