With the development of economic globalization, internationalization of corporation management has become an inundant flow. Facing different cultural environment, "how to perform effective human resource management" has been drawing more and more attention from transnational corporations. Taking transnational corporations in China as researching subject, the major purpose of the present study is to understand the present cross-cultural human resource management mode.Firstly, the cross-cultural HRM theories were presented in this paper. Then the situation of HRM of transitional corporations in china was discussed, and in this point the main topic -the study of cross-cultural human resource management mode of transitional corporations in China was proposed. In this study which was based on questionnaire, and combined with interview and case analysis, the type, the distribution and developing trend of cross-cultural human resource management of transitional corporations in China was studied, as well as the factors attributes to the mode. Some advices based on study results were proposed to transitional corporations and Chinese government.The main conclusions in this paper could be summarized as follows:(1) The modes of cross-cultural human resource management of transitional corporations in China present various distributions. Results show that ethnocentric, polyentric, geocentric all weigh some proportion, and polycentric, geocentric weigh more. In addition, beside those three modes, there is another mode between two modes or even three modes called mixed mode.(2) Similarity and difference coexist between different modes, and when they are being managed they tend to cultural harmony and merging. It is found that although each mode has its own characteristic, however when they are being cross-culture managed they show much similarity. Each mode behaves the trend to cultural merging when it is under cross-culture managing.(3) As to the factor affecting mode choosing. It's found that there is obvious discrepancy among the nationality of mother country,the invest and the way of founding when company chooses cross-culture human resource management mode.
