| With the deepening of economic globalization, international construction industry is enjoying a fast growth. Under this situation, more and more construction companies begin to focus on the international project. Selecting an appropriate market entry mode is the first problem the construction companies face when they pursuing the overseas market. However, making the market entry strategy is a very complicate systematic problem. Both internal and external effect need to be taken into consideration.This paper focused on the construction company and has international market entry strategy as its core, identified and defined basic entry modes in the construction sector, analyzed the different characters and effects of these entry modes and developed an entry mode selection model for the construction company. The research processing can be summarized as follows: (1) the first section focused on reviewing the market entry strategy from the construction perspective and the history and trend of the international construction industry in order to conclude the importance of researching the market entry strategy for the construction industry; (2) the second section was based on the theoretical reasoning and case study, proposed 10 different basic entry modes and analyzed the internal character and effect of these basic entry modes; (3) The third section proposed 12 different effects which affects the construction companies' decision between permanent entry and mobile entry based on the different schools of market entry mode selection theory. Some real cases were collected for statistic test of binary logistic regression in order to develop a market entry selection model and figure out the decisive effect of the market entry for the construction companies. T-test is also used to determine the effectiveness of this model. |
