With the globalization of marketing economy, the competitiveness in apparel industryis very fierce. Furthermore, the demand of apparel varies widely and its time effect isstrong. And the whole apparel supply chain, which covers many rings from making threadto made-clothes, is a bit long and also exist more problems, so its requirement to themanagement of supply chain is also quite high. The fierce market competition has made itdifficult to support the development of an enterprise for such a single apparel industry'smanagement. Among them, the pressure from the inventory management to enterprise is anoutstanding and serious problem. Under such situations, it is more effective for us to useskills and methods of supply chain management to solve such questions lying in theapparel supply chain. This article tries to use the theory of supply chain managementreasonably to control the inventory and thus to seek practical strategies to settle theproblems in our apparel industry.Based on the analysis of the process and current situation for Weifang garmententerprises, this article carry a research on its supply chain inventory control. Moreover,the author points out that the main problems was the distributions of goods, thecooperation of enterprises, the delivery of information, e reaction of long whips and so on.The thesis put forward adopting the CPFR architecture to construct the optimised controlpattern and strategies which matches the whole apparel industry in Weifang. On the basisof analyzing the products data of Weifang apparel industry, and aiming to three differentdemanding styles of apparel products, the author put forwards corresponding inventorycontrol pattern to solve the inventory questions of Weifang apparel enterprises.Finally, the article takes the case of Yeliya Garment Co.Ltd as an empirical study.The author analyses the problems existing in its former supply chain inventorymanagement models. Then considering about the operation of the internal structure andinventory process, we propose a collaborative inventory control strategy that fits for thiscompany. Through analysis, the supply chain inventory management system, which isbased on the CPFR system, can effectively reduce the problems existing in the supplychain of the present garment enterprises in Weifang, and it will also have some practicalvalues.
