As a new Hotel model, Economy Hotel in China is first to appear in ShangHai, in 1997, which is the result of consumers'market targeting and is the Hotel Industry's inevitable feedback to market demands. Moreover, Economy Hotel is good to our country's Economy and Tourism, the necessity for Hotel Industry's International Jointing, and the indispensable part to create a perfect Industry System.In this passage, the concept and function of Economy Hotel is defined through the reference of data of Internet and correlative magazines and the participation in correlative researches, based on which the characteristics and nuclear character of Economy Hotel is expatiated. And then, the realistic environment for the developing of Economy Hotel both in home and abroad is analyzed, and the feature and market prospect of Economy Hotel in Zhejiang is emphasized. The Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for the development of Economy Hotel in Zhejiang are indicated, through the analysis on the industry environment, social condition and obstruction by the method of SWOT. Furthermore, the character of market demands of Zhejiang Economy Hotel is expatiated based on the investigation in the market demands and the analysis by diagram and SPSS, based on which the future developing strategy of Zhejiang Economy Hotel is proposed. Finally, the future development strategy of Economy Hotel in China is proposed. That is, to develop continually as a group with chain-store operations as its main development type; to develop at a high speed by building a good brand, its own speciality, and strengthening management etc.
