'Informationization is the definitely choice for our country to accelerate realization of industrialization and modernization'was proposed in report of the 16th meeting of the Communist Party of China. With the started eleventh 5 years plan at 2006, a new development phase for our country's informationization construction would be start. As a'form traditional to modern'printing industry, the process of informationization determined the core competitiveness of enterprise. Aiming at the problem mentioned above, relying on the project of Chengdu Tel-Print Management Information System (TP-MIS), Taking the design, development and implement of TP-MIS as objects, integrating the practical circumstances of actuality printing industry and trend of ERP research and application, several basic principles, corresponding theories and realizing technologies of medium and small printing enterprises were discussed and analyzed in this thesis.Objectives: firstly, the methods of analysis, design and implementation of management information system (MIS) in medium and small printing enterprises were studied; the key technology of order form arrangement algorithm was researched. The tailor made management platform for the enterprise was built up. Secondly, TP_MIS was developed by combining the basic principles of ERP and the practical circumstances of Chengdu Tel-print Co., LTD. The advanced Business Process Re-engineering thinking was adopted through requirement analysis and project implementation procedure to optimize the management system of enterprise; organizational structure and business process for highly upgrade the management level of enterprise to accommodate the informational management.Method: according to the thoughts of software engineering, combining the special circumstances of Chengdu Tel-Print Co., LTD, TP-MIS was designed and developed by classic life cycle approach. The realization of the system took Microsoft Visio 2003 as system analysis design tool, while Erwin 4.1 was used to finish the database modeling, SQL Server 2000 was database, and the Object Oriented Platform Microsoft .NET was the programming language. Results and conclusions: TP-MIS was formally online on October 1st 2006. Marketing, technology, manufacturing, storeroom and assist-enterprises were fully managed in TP-MIS which got good applicable effect; realized highly integration of information and was appraised by application enterprise. The improved flexible scheduling algorithm could acquire optimized order priority; the business process which has been re-engineered optimized resources in enterprise, enhanced enterprise's core competitiveness. The operation cost and working intensity were largely decreased meanwhile the customers'loyalty and enterprise's images were highly improved. The TP-MIS partly realized decision assistance function as well.
