It has been almost 60 years since value engineering was invented, and it is nowapplied widely in every walk of life in our national economy and manufacturing, becauseof its special advantages in the aspect of issue-analyzing and its creative thinking inproblem-solving. The VM crankshaft production line is a new introduction processingproduction line, its production has its own characteristic, simultaneously also has manyimprovements the possibilities, the application value project theory and the methodcarries on the analysis is worth discussing and the research.The paper in elaborated foundations and so on in value engineering its relatedconcept and basic theory, method and implementation step, has demonstrated thecrankshaft processing process of evolution, typical equipment characteristic, generalizedanalysis crankshaft three processing plan. In above research and analysis foundation, theapplication of the most suitable method to determine main bearing and ping bearingprocessing as value engineering process improvement targets. Through the functionaldefinition, collation and analysis, it determine beat processing, precision machining, toolconsumption what is three functions of main bearing and ping bearing processing. Theused of the functional coefficient analysis of various options for the function comparisonand analysis, calculated all the functional value of the program. Reference equipmentcosts(C), Basis V=F/C, VM determined crankshaft main bearing and ping bearingreasonable processing technology, and then determine the crankshaft processing options...
