With the upcoming of the era of global and knowledge based economy, supply chain alliance will become a major organization and management model for corporations in the 21st century. Supply chain alliance (SCA), as an effective way to conform inside and outside resources based on core competences of enterprises, is becoming to be an ideal choice for many enterprise. Therefore, both in theoretic research and in practical application, it is very important to study the stability of SCA for enterprises to implement the strategy of supply chain management successfully, to enhance their market competences and to face the global market ompetition in the 21st century.Supply chain alliance can be defined as a form of union which consists of a few independent entities. These entities aim to achieve the common goal under the market environment of competition and cooperation. Each partner corporation elaborates its core ability within its own advantageous areas and advantages and interests are shared at their own risk.This essay, by research, analyzes the reasons of the origin of supply chain by reference to the theory of supply chain alliance and actual cases. The analysis was conducted under the economic realm and consequently leads to the stability mode of supply chain lodged by the author. This can be regarded as a great enrichment to the basic theory of supply chain alliance. The essay also made research on how to build the stable supply chain alliance for companies by considering China' s real situation.
