Star Software Inc. Tacit Knowledge Management Strategy Study

With the further development of economic globalization and increasing fierce competition situation, enterprises have regarded the knowledge management as the core measure of obtaining and maintaining competition advantages. Being the key points of knowledge management, tacit knowledge has aroused great interest and importance among the academic and business circles. Facing with the drastic competition enviorment, the software company, who considers tacit knowledge as core competence, will carry out the tacit knowledge management. There is no doubt that it will play a decisive role in the survival and development of enterprises. This paper will do some exploratory research in tacit knowledge management from theory to practice. It is also my hope to devote my pygmy efforts to the application of tacit knowledge management in enterprises.Firstly, the paper expounds the foreign and domestic literature concerning tacit knowledge management, and analyzes the relevant theories and practices from best domestic and foreign enterprises in details. Combining with the introduction of background information such as organizational structure, the staff situation and the existing state of developing project management and by the questionnaire designed and staff interview, we are well acquainted with the situation about tacit knowledge management and make a further and comprehensive analysis of existing problems. Based on the above information, it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of executing the tacit knowledge management. The article has built up the framework of performing the tacit knowledge management in details and put forward the specific strategies from the aspects of integration, communication, learning, developing project management and encouragement.
