Danyang City, Jiangsu Province Culture And Tourism Market Research And Development

The cultural tourism is more popular among tourists for its cultural background and unique cultural circumstance. Therefore it is known as the most important and energetic tourism style.Considering the resource condition, industry situation and the existing tourism development and promotion, the author believe that cultural tourism is the core tour product for Danyang city, it is also critical and continual for Danyang's tourism.In the past several years, the Danyang municipal government has paid more and more attention to the tourism. The government sets the strategic target regarding the tourism as the core one in the tertiary industry. Although the government has made some progress in the past two years, generally speaking, the tourism is far undeveloped and there are many problems. There is much advantage on district, economy, and cultural tourism resource. But those advantages are unfortunally not used well. The present tourism is far behind the other cities in southern Jiangsu Province. And we are short of research and guideline in theory for the tourism.The one of the premise of Danyang cultural tourism promotion is to have a deep research and analysis on cultural tourism market. From this point, the author has a research with lots of on- site visiting and questionnaire survey on the qualitative and quantitative analysis. The first part of this paper is a summary on domestic and abroad research on cultural tourism, setting the research content, ideas and methods; secondly there is the analysis on the Denying tourism market conditions( such as base data; resource; industry situation) and market demanding. The author forecast the tourism market with SWOT. The next section of the paper is measures how to promote the cultural tourism market, including the market strategy, image design, and product development, sales and so on.Wish this paper can contribute to research on the cultural tourism on theory basis for Danyang city.
